Yesterday at the Green Product Award ceremony in Berlin, we were proud to see four inspiring ROOTS Exhibition participants nominated for their forward-thinking and material-conscious designs.
Among them:
Emma Batsheva Cohen with the Bal Tash’rit Chair – a sculptural reflection on waste and the principle of not destroying what still has value
Lotte Douwes with CIRCA material – a refined circular ceramics line that invites mindful eating and material awareness
Zeefier® with seaweed-based dyes in a carpet of Dutch Wool – a marine innovation designed by Nienke Hoogvliet in collaboration with fellow ROOTS participant The Knitwit Stable
LOADS Collection with the LC Coreopsis '23 Bench from waste wood, recycled matrasses and biodynamic plantbased dyes– designed by Machiel Hopman
The LC Coreopsis '23 Bench made its debut at last year’s ROOTS Exhibition during Salone del Mobile.Milano. Yesterday, it stood center stage—quite literally—supporting each Green Product Award winner as they received their prize.
And how wonderful to see Anne Boermans and Bianca Zomer of Zeefier® shine on stage as they collected their well deserved Green Product Award in the category Lifestyle and Interior. Congratulations!!
And congratulations to all nominees and winners. The soil is shifting—and we’re here for it. Together!!
