From Nature to Rest

We often think of the bedroom as a place of comfort. But comfort begins long before the bed—it starts in the soil, in the fibre, in the choices we make about what surrounds our bodies.

Yumeko approaches rest as something deeply connected to nature. Working with organic, recycled, and responsibly sourced materials, they create textiles that are not only soft and beautiful, but also rooted in care—for people, animals, and the earth.

Their materials tell a quiet story. Organic cotton grown without harmful chemicals. Recycled down, given a second life. Natural latex, horsehair, hemp and linen—materials that breathe, regulate and return to the natural cycle.

Each choice reflects a different way of thinking: not extracting more, but using better. Not producing faster, but creating with attention and longevity in mind.

Within the Sleeping Beauty installation, Yumeko forms the tactile layer of the space. The bed becomes a place where material, body, and environment meet—supporting not only rest, but a healthier way of living.

Here, the bedroom is more than a private space. It becomes a place of awareness—where what touches the skin also reflects a relationship with the world beyond it.

At ROOTS, Yumeko reminds us that true comfort is not only how something feels, but where it comes from—and where it will return.
