LOADS Collection

Marcos Luengo

Marcos Luengo presents these two exclusive kimono designs in collaboration with LOADS Collection and artistic partner Claudy Jongstra. Crafted with biodynamic textiles and plant-based dyes, these garments translate the philosophy of Sleeping Beauty, a Symbiotic Symphony into wearable art and couture.

LOADS Collection, co-owned by Jesk Jongstra, is the world’s first and only Demeter-certified textile label, championing healthy, non-toxic materials and sustainable luxury. Following its journey from furniture pieces like the LC Coreopsis 23 bench and LC Ottoman 24 Walnut Camomille, the collection now evolves into couture—where craftsmanship, nature and design meet in perfect harmony.

These kimonos celebrate the rhythm of day and night, light and shadow—Día y Noche – Ritmos del Alma—a true symbiotic expression of textile innovation, artistry and respect for the natural world.

Thonet S 33

This chair carries a century of ideas. The Thonet S 33, designed by Dutch architect Mart Stam in 1925, is an icon of modern design—its light, cantilevered form marking a radical shift in how we live, sit and relate to space. Today, its legacy continues through a collaboration that reconnects design to soil, craft and ecology.

Initiated by the Goetheanum in Dornach, this edition brings together Thonet, Claudy Jongstra, LOADS Collection, SEKEM in Egypt and a network of Demeter-certified farms across Europe. Together, they reimagine the chair through a fully plant-based and biodynamic textile story.

The cotton is grown by SEKEM in Egypt using biodynamic agriculture—working with original seeds, restoring soil fertility and significantly reducing water use compared to conventional cotton farming. Colours are derived entirely from plants—woad from the Goetheanum gardens, coreopsis from Spain and reseda luteola from the Netherlands. No synthetic dyes. No chemicals. Each tone follows the rhythms of the living world.

Within ROOTS – Sleeping Beauty, a Symbiotic Symphony, the chair reflects a quiet awakening—where heritage, material and nature come back into balance. A timeless object, re-rooted in life.
